Dog Mountain, Columbia River Gorge
May 22, 2003

Tradition is starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth.  The weather on this year's Dog Mountain hike was as bad as last year's weather was good.  Because of this fact, pictures were not even possible without dousing the camera.  Overcast, 30+ mile per hour sustained winds and slick mud made this years hike rather difficult and cold.  Donning all my raingear, I just managed not to get hypothermia as the cold east winds blew.  Bob surprised me with strawberries from his garden for our short lived celebration at the top.  The only mental comfort of this hike was Walking Man Pub awaiting our arrival.
