Same as Steve, I was researching the origins of the Dollar Lake Fire, and came across your adventure. You may find a lot of people viewing your trip because of the fire and what comes up in search engines.
Just the same, I want to thank you for bringing back memories of when I backpacked into lakes with friends and my sister's kids, some 40 years or more ago. We usually picked larger backcountry lakes than Dollar, though, cuz our main goal was usually trout. But they all learned to smell the roses along the way, and that was probably the most important lesson in life. Whether they yet know it or not, Jordan and Amber probably learned that too.

Thank you for posting your trip pictures and comments. My wife and I spent time in Enchanted Valley in 1967. Your trip comments and pictures brought back many happy memories of the seven months we spent in Washington - working, hiking and camping in the Parks.
We get to re-visit the parks this August, but won't be able to hike into the Enchanted Valley.

John,
I must have looked over a dozen of your adventures. You have an awesome life that has been blessed! I recently was introduced to hiking and am proud to say I crossed my 100 mile mark in less than 60 days. I never imagined it as being so beautiful and peaceful. I heard an expression and am not quite sure of where it originated. I searched my soul and I could not see, I searched for God and he eluded me, I searched the trail and found all three. Keep the trails worn! Good Luck!
