Where do I freakin' begin!
Normally, I am so over analytical that I think something to death and there are
no surprises. The PCT for me has so far been very, very different.
In reading all the PCT-L emails that are sent to me, I still have no idea what
gear I will take, how much water I will need to carry, or even how far I will
get.
I do want to thank some people in my life that helped me make this possible though. First, my wife, who stands behind me no matter what, even with a crazy thing like this. Next, my manager, who generously worked with me so I could get the time off for this expedition.
Training for this hike has involved nothing more than hiking and dropping weight. My family is starting to realize, in a more clear manner, that I will be gone for 6 weeks; 5 weeks longer than ever, since my first child was born.
