Amber's 10th
Birthday Party |
|
What on God's earth was I thinking before asking Amber if she wanted a huge bash for her 10th birthday. Something that was completely hay wired inside of me offered a gala with seventeen kids before a slumber party including up to ten of them. My camera sucks as most of the pictures were blurry no matter what settings I tried.
We decided to have the bash at a local establishment called Pump-It-Up Party. My angel was all smiles as we arrived ten minutes late to see everyone had shown up for the celebration.
The event I signed us all up for was called The Lights Out Party. You get started playing before they hand out glo-sticks and turn off the lights. Soon after, they turn on the laser lights and play typical XM-satellite radio party music.
The kids were going nuts as their bright red faces, masked in perspiration, showed the effort they were putting forth.
Johnny was actually keeping up with all the children three times his age.
The entire netted arena started to lean as all the kids were bouncing on one side. Kids were flying everywhere as I chuckled watching the chaos.
An hour was all it took to get the children to a drooped-head state from exhaustion. It was time to recharge with cake.
After cake, it was time to open the plethora of presents that Amber's great friends brought for her.
I snapped off as many shots as I could, trying desperately to get some good ones with my failing camera. Even Johnny was into making goofy faces.
The party simply would not let up as I started to worry what I had coming my way for the next eight hours.
One final shot before the sleep-over. It was a long night, but well worth it as every single child had a great time that I hopped they would remember.
